Joy is an IATSE Local 800 Graphic Artist. She was born and raised in Southern California with passion for storytelling. Dabbling in theatre, animation, and illustration by the time she received her dual Bachelors degree in Art & Philosophy at UC Santa Cruz, Joy finally settled into the art of filmmaking.

Joy continued her studies at Chapman University, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts under the mentorship of art director John Chichester. She received her Masters in Production Design in the spring of 2016 and currently resides in Los Angeles.

In addition to designing graphics, she enjoys storyboarding, character design, and concept art. In her spare time, she loves to read, draw, and drink massive quantities of green tea. Her current personal project is rebinding her favorite books in custom hardcover editions.
